Surface Scaler

When a surface needs to be scaled from grid to surface coordinates, or vice versa, the current workflow is to create a block containing the surface, scale the X/Y coordinates of the block and then explode the block. This can be cumbersome or time consuming, depending on the size of the surface. It can also create issues with data shortcuts and add duplicate information into the file, if a user doesn’t properly purge the data afterward.

This application plugin is a simple tool that will reduce those steps above to a single selection and a number input. The change will be automatic and immediate, and will appear in the edits list of the surface to be removed or turned off at any time.

• Select a surface by picking or dialog.

• Input a scale value greater than 0 (0-1 = decrease, >1 = increase size).

• Scales around coordinate 0,0.
